This Privacy Policy explains how WannaWatch (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use wannawatch.app and related services.

Information we collect

• Account & profile: display name, optional email and password, optional phone number, and a device identifier used to recognize returning players.
• Gameplay: games you join, swipes, likes, matches, friends, invites, and similar activity needed to run the product.
• Purchases: if you subscribe to WannaWatch+, payment is processed by Stripe. We store entitlement and subscription status and related Stripe customer/session identifiers — not your full card number.
• Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) used for security and reliability.

How we use information

• Operate matching games, friends, invites, and notifications you enable
• Maintain your account, history, and purchased entitlements (such as an active WannaWatch+ subscription)
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and fix bugs
• Show ads to free users (unless you have ad-free access)
• Understand aggregate usage via analytics

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to WannaWatch and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can learn more about how Google uses data in advertising at Google’s advertising policies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate (for example, which screens are popular). Analytics providers may set cookies or collect similar technical data subject to their own policies.

Service providers

We use trusted vendors to run WannaWatch, including hosting, email/SMS delivery where you opt in, Stripe for payments, TMDB for movie metadata, and Google for ads and analytics. They process data only as needed to provide those services.

Cookies & local storage

We use cookies for signed-in sessions and local storage on your device for things like remembering your player profile and swipe progress. Advertising and analytics partners may also use cookies as described above.

Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account by contacting us.

Children

WannaWatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

• Play with only a display name, or create a login
• Control email/SMS notification preferences in the app when signed in
• Opt out of personalized Google ads via Ads Settings
• Contact us to request account deletion or ask a privacy question
