How WannaWatch works

Same list. Separate phones. One match. Here’s the flow from “I’m bored” to “press play.”

  1. Start or join a game

One person taps Quick play (or Custom game for filters like genre and streaming). Everyone else joins with the six-letter code — or from a friend invite.

  2. Swipe the shared deck

Everyone sees the same titles in the same order. Like what you’d watch; pass on the rest. Nobody has to debate out loud until there’s a hit.

  3. Match and watch

When the group likes the same title, it’s a match. Open details, check where it’s streaming, and start the movie night you actually agreed on.

FAQ

Do I need an account?
No. You can pick a display name and play right away. Creating a free login lets you restore your profile, friends, and purchases across devices.
Is it only movies?
You can play with movies and TV depending on the game filters. The idea is the same: swipe together until you overlap.
What if nobody matches?
Keep playing for a fresh batch from the same game, or start a new round with different filters.
Are there ads?
Free play may show small banners on home and results, plus a short sponsored pause about every 40 swipes. WannaWatch+ is $2.99/month and removes ads, unlocks Fine-tune, and keeps your full likes and matches history. Cancel anytime.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes — search WannaWatch on the App Store, or use the web app at wannawatch.app on any device.
